It’s 2020, it’s November, and here we go again, back into Lockdown.  Sadly that means that Photography studios are not allowed to open and we should only be leaving home for essential reasons.  During the last Lockdown I took some Doorstep photos for MIND Mental Health Charity (See Lockdown portraits here) and it was a great way to get out and about, meet new people and raise some money for a local charity.  Somehow I feel that I have moved on from doorstep photos and the mood is different this lockdown with the novelty of masks, anti-bac and board games all having worn a little thin.  However, my energetic dog still needs her daily walk so I decided that I would turn my hand to a bit of Pet photography and offer local families photos of their dog whilst out and about on their regular walk.  There is no need for anyone to leave home any more than usual and we are able to social distance whilst outside so all totally Covid Lockdown compliant!  All the photos will be made available to view online – with the option to order prints or digital images of your dog which will be sent to you directly.  ALL proceeds are going to Stokenchurch Dog Rescue who provide a fantastic service caring for and re-homing dogs.

I will be posting on Instagram and Facebook where I will be walking the next day with my usual walks including Walkwood and Ledborough Lane in Beaconsfield, Penn Street (where my dog loves to find the muddiest puddle available) and Wooburn Green.  A little further afield in Amersham, Shardeloes to Little Missenden is a great walk and Cookham along the river is also one of my regular outings.  If you are looking for some more information on local dog walks, do have a look at this blog post with details of my favourites.

Many thanks to my photography mentor Nina Mace who helped with the inspiration and support for this project and to all the local families who I have been meeting with their dogs.  It has brightened up these gloomy November days knowing I have some dogs and even Lockdown puppies to photograph!

And just to give you something to chuckle over, here is Cassie demonstrating her insatiable love for mud! Cassie the mud loving Golden Retriever
