Do you need a new profile picture?  It has been said that Oscar Wilde remarked “You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression” and in these days of social media and on line networking, this is so very true.  Your on line presence is your shop-front – and the imagery included on your website will often be the deciding factor for your viewers as to whether they stay with you or move right on.

It can be very tempting to use a good holiday snap as your profile picture, but it will not always present the right or most favourable impression of you.  A professional photographer will be able to use the best studio lighting (very flattering ladies!), or if on location, will know how to find and use the light to the best advantage in order to create a professional image of you.

I take photos for corporate headshots either in the studio, in another area indoors, or out on location.  It will depend on what type of business you work within and the sort of image you wish to generate – so a key part of the process will be to have a chat with you about your company, your role, and what you are looking for.  After the session you will be able to select two images that you can use freely on websites, social media etc.  If you need a longer session to create a more extensive set of images for your website then of course that is also possible.

I recently photographed Gregg Fraley who is a business speaker, specialising in creativity and innovation.  For his corporate headshot he was keen for me to take a photograph of him doing what he does – speaking – so whilst he enthused about I’m not sure quite what (I was concentrating on the photography!), I worked at capturing his enthusiasm and engagement with his subject matter.  For the record, taking photos of people talking is a bit like taking photos of people eating – not that easy to  catch them looking good, but I think we made it!  Here is Gregg’s photo on his website:  http://www.greggfraley.com/ . So, if you need a fabulous new headshot, then do get in touch.
