As I have a home studio, I am in the fortunate position to be able to offer both studio and location photos. I always ask a customer what they have in mind when they contact me, but often people are not really sure whether they want to go for the studio look, or outdoors. Of course the studio has the advantage that it is weather proof, which is particularly useful when co-ordinating busy families, but the advantage of it being at home, is that we can often combine both studio and outdoors within one session.
These photos were taken for a friend of mine who is my perfect customer – she has family photos taken of her boys every year and sends some back to family who live abroad. This year she had actually won one of my photography vouchers at a local school fair, which included a large framed print. It is lovely to see the family grow and change and to have some record of that. There is a seven year age gap between these two brothers, but they were great to photograph and seemed really close. Here are a couple of my favourites from the shoot.
