At this time of year I get pretty busy with family portraits as people start to think ahead for Christmas.  A family portrait can make a great present for parents or grandparents, and I can offer both studio photography or outdoors or “lifestyle” photography.  There are some fantastic autumn colours at the moment and these can offer a wonderful backdrop for family photos.  For an autumn photoshoot outdoors – see a previous blog post https://www.jennykaye.com/autumn-photoshoots-in-buckinghamshire/

This family with five kids were keen to have a studio shoot, and even within the confines of the studio we had plenty of fun.  Here are a few of their photos:

But family photos don’t always have to be about everyone smiling at the camera all the time.  Teenagers in particular sometimes like to do the “cool, posing” thing, and even pre-teens want to have a go too.

And then of course, everyone wants a photo with all the family in.  No mean feat to get five children all looking at the camera at the same time!  Sometimes families like to come “dressed as a team” in jeans and white T – shirts, and sometimes families prefer to come in bright colours, clutching their favourite toys.  It really doesn’t matter, as the photos themselves are a reflection of your family and your style.
