As we reach the end of the year, I always like to look back over the family portraits I have taken during the year. As a family photographer I offer portrait sessions either in the studio or “lifestyle” – out on location or in your own home or garden. 2012 was indeed a very wet year, with a lot of studio sessions, but it is surprising how much you can get outdoors if you really want to. There is usually a window of opportunity or some appropriate shelter, even if the grass is wet.
Here are some of my favourite family portraits from 2012 – I look forward to seeing some of these little people as they get older.
