(One-to-one or tailored business training sessions are also available for entrepreneurs who want to create their own brand imagery.)
What an incredible workshop experience this morning with the talented Jenny Kaye! Packed with “aha!” moments, the session was a fantastic investment of my time. Say goodby to bad selfies and headshots at work 🙂
During the masterclass we delved into standing out from the crowd and maximizing smartphone photography. From capturing images to omposition, enhancing photos and using apps, it was truly enlightening.
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your Smartphone Photography class just before Christmas. I am so glad it inspired me to get a new phone, and it was perfect timing as I didn’t have to read the manual after you taught me everything. It sinks in so much better when someone teaches you in person and you get to practice straight away.
BEGINNERS’ DIGITAL SLR TRAINING
If you’ve invested in a camera but find yourself stuck on AUTO mode, this workshop will give you the confidence to take control and start capturing the images you’ve always wanted.
In this hands-on morning workshop, we’ll cover:
-
Light – understanding how it affects your photos and how to work with it
-
Focus – taking control so your camera focuses where you want it to
-
Aperture, Shutter Speed & ISO – what they are and how to use them creatively
-
Composition – simple techniques to create images that are more appealing to the eye
This friendly, practical session will leave you feeling more confident with your camera, ready to create images that are sharp, well-composed, and uniquely yours.
(Workshops are held at my home studio in Lilliput, Poole or alternative local venue and include plenty of opportunities to practice as you learn.)
TESTIMONIALS
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this course as for me photography is currently just an interest, but it was just as informative as it was practical. I’ve had a DSLR for nearly 7 months and learnt more within the 3 hours with Jenny than I had the whole time of owning my camera! We had a few practical tasks where we put the skills we’d learnt to the test. Jenny was great at giving an informative power point and being able to give everyone help one to one as the group size was manageable. I would definitely recommend if there’s any more in the future. We even got little goodie bags which was a nice touch! If another course appeals to me I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
I found it REALLY useful – suddenly those camera buttons aren’t so much of a mystery. Now I just need to get out and have a go experimenting a bit. A new camera might also be heading up the wish list!
What an excellent workshop, I’m really looking forward to getting off ‘auto’ mode and taking control of my photos.
