This family with three girls came for a studio session recently – interested in getting some lovely portraits for their new house.  It was a lively session with the two year old showing us all who was boss, and not sitting still for a moment.    During sessions like this I try to give the little ones plenty of freedom to enjoy themselves exploring, whilst at the same time providing lots of chances to engage with each other (and hopefully offering me the photo opportunities).  I had to get creative with these girls and out came all sorts of props in the studio – from squeaky parrots to balloons to books (which were a big hit).  When editing a family portrait session, I often like to convert my favourite photos into black and white, and I particularly felt that these ones would work well presented this way.Here is just one of each of the girls – I think they would look just perfect with a simple black frame:
