I offer family portraits both on location (often called ‘lifestyle’ photography) or in the studio. In the winter the studio has the obvious advantage of being weather proof, but when the weather is fine it is great to meet up with customers in their own homes or to go on location. Children often feel more relaxed ‘on their own patch’, and the resulting photos can be just that bit more personal with the backdrop of their own favourite places. I photographed this family earlier in the summer at their home and garden, and came away inspired to create my own wild flower garden which was just wonderful – overflowing with loads of colour.
